These Terms apply to Agenote on iOS and macOS (the "App"), developed and published by Actlogicom, LLC ("we," "us," "the developer"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
The App is a personal agenda and note-taking tool. It reads and writes data (calendar events, reminders, and notes) directly to and from destinations you control: your device's Calendar and Reminders databases, a local folder, an Obsidian vault you select, a Markdown folder you select, your own iCloud account, or Apple Notes. The App does not operate a server that stores, processes, or has access to your data.
You own all content you create using the App, including notes, events, and reminders (your "Content"). We claim no ownership rights over your Content and do not access, collect, or store it on any infrastructure we control. Because the App has no backend, we have no ability to view, transmit, or disclose your Content — it exists only where you choose to store it (your device, your Obsidian vault, your iCloud account, etc.).
You are responsible for the destination you choose for your notes (device storage, Obsidian, a Markdown folder, iCloud, or Apple Notes) and for maintaining your own backups. Synchronization for iCloud is provided by Apple; synchronization for Obsidian vaults, if enabled, is provided by Obsidian and/or Apple. We are not responsible for data loss, corruption, or sync failures caused by Apple's iCloud service, Obsidian, third-party software, or your device.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of data loss.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP — INCLUDING DATA LOSS RESULTING FROM THIRD-PARTY SERVICES SUCH AS APPLE iCLOUD OR OBSIDIAN. TO THE EXTENT ANY LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, IT IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP, IF ANY.
If you receive the App through TestFlight, you also agree to Apple's TestFlight and Beta Software terms. Beta builds may be unstable, may change without notice, and are not intended for critical or production use.
Distribution of the App through the App Store is additionally governed by Apple's Standard License Agreement (the default EULA used for App Store apps), which includes its own disclaimers and liability limitations. These Terms supplement, and do not replace, that agreement.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
