Agenote Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 24, 2026

This policy covers Agenote on iOS and macOS (the "App"), developed and published by Actlogicom, LLC.

Summary

Agenote does not sell user data, does not track users across apps or websites, and does not use advertising identifiers. The App has no backend server operated by the developer — your calendar data, reminders, and notes are never transmitted to, or stored on, any server controlled by the developer.

What the App accesses, and why

Calendars and Reminders. Accessed only after you grant permission, and used solely to display and manage your agenda within the App. This data is read from and written to the system Calendar/Reminders databases on your device; it is never copied elsewhere by the App.

Microphone and Speech Recognition. Used only when you choose to dictate a note, event, or reminder by voice. Audio is processed using Apple's on-device or system speech recognition and is not stored or transmitted by the App.

Photos. When you choose to attach an image to a note, the App uses Apple's system picker. The App only receives the specific image you select — it does not request or receive access to your full photo library.

Files you select (Obsidian vault, Markdown folder). If you choose to save notes to an Obsidian vault or a folder on disk, the App accesses only the folder you explicitly selected, using Apple's security-scoped bookmark system. The App does not access any other files or folders on your device.

Where your data lives

Daily notes are stored, depending on the destination you choose in Settings: locally on your device, in an Obsidian vault you select, in a Markdown folder you select, or shared to Apple Notes via the system Share sheet.

If you enable iCloud sync for local notes, files are synchronized between your own devices using Apple's iCloud Drive service (a private container tied to your Apple ID). The App does not use CloudKit as a shared or central database, and the developer has no access to this container or its contents. If you use Obsidian's own iCloud sync for your vault, that sync is handled entirely by Obsidian and Apple, independent of the App.

Analytics and diagnostics

The App does not operate its own analytics or advertising service. While the App is distributed through TestFlight, Apple may collect beta diagnostics and crash reports and share feedback you submit, under Apple's own TestFlight policies — the developer only sees what Apple's TestFlight dashboard provides.

Your controls

You can revoke Calendar, Reminders, Microphone, Speech Recognition, or notification permissions at any time in system settings (iOS Settings or macOS System Settings). Removing a permission may limit the related feature but does not prevent use of the App's other features. You can also disconnect an Obsidian vault or Markdown folder at any time from within the App's settings.

Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
